The first par five on the golf course gives you a good opportunity to improve your score. A good tee shot gives you a nice look at hitting the green in two. However, favor the left side of the green. Balls missed right are very difficult to get up and down. If you choose to lay up for your second, aim plenty left to avoid the bunkers and give yourself a nice angle to the pin.
