Darren Butler brings his talents, experience and enthusiasm to Grey Hawk Golf Club for many years to come. He is a Class A-1 PGA Member. Darren’s golf experience includes over 23 years playing the game and being mentored by two golf professionals that were at the same facility for over 30 years.

He comes to Grey Hawk from All American Sports Center in North Ridgeville, Ohio where he was the General Manager / Instructing Golf Professional. Prior to that he gained 8 years experience as an Assistant Golf Professional at Elyria Country Club in Elyria, 2 years at Shady Hollow Country Club in Massillon, and was a caddy and assistant starter at The Columbus Country Club in Columbus, all in Ohio.

Darren graduated from Reynoldsburg High School, and was an active participant on a #1 state ranked division I school the year of 1988. With 4 new teammates the following year Darren helped the team finish 8th at the OHSAA State Golf Championships. He spent two years attending Commercial Art & Advertising at the University of Akron before deciding to pursue his dream to become a Head Golf Professional.

Darren was born in Cleveland and raised in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Darren learned the game from Don Shock, who is the Head Professional emeritus at Columbus County Club, and how to work in the golf professional environment from Rich Casabella who was the head golf professional at Elyria Country Club for 35 years.
